この曲は、2013年にNoCopyrightSoundsからリリースされたAhrixの楽曲 "Nova "のリニューアル・バージョンである。
「Nova」は当時、アランだけでなく、K-391も注目していた。この過去の名作を現代に蘇らせるべく、3人は "End of Time "でコラボレートした。ウォーカーはアーリックスとK-391から多大な影響を受けているので、3人の初コラボレーションとなった「End of Time」はとても意味深い曲だ。
この曲は、過去のプロデューサーへのオマージュであると同時に、未来のベッドルーム・プロデューサーに勇気を与えるような曲を作りたいという3人のメンバーの強い思いが込められている。Alan Wlaker、Ahrix、K-391はいずれもNCSで一躍有名になったアーティストであり、「End of Time」のジャケット・アートに描かれている光の輪は、NCSのビデオに登場する輪を指しているようだ。
アランは、この曲をさらに発展させるために世界中からプロデューサーを招き、最終的には公式リミックスを一緒にリリースする予定だ。公式リミックスについてアランは、「僕らが最初にやったように、ベッドルームで自分の道を切り開こうとしているみんなに敬意を表したい。このプロジェクトを始めることができて、とてもクールだよ」と述べている。

2016年にオスロで開催された第1回X Games Norwayでメガヒット曲 「Faded」を披露してから4年、アラン・ウォーカー、K-391、Ahrixは再びX Games Norwayに戻り、2020年3月7日にX Games Norwayで開催されるビッグエアファイナルで同曲を披露し、ウォーカーにとっては前日の3月のリリース後、初めてライブで披露する機会となった。
