Walkerworld

Walkerworld is the 4th studio album by Norwegian record producer Alan Walker. The first version of the album containing 10 tracks was released on November 10, 2023. It was accompanied with a Fortnite game, a new tour, creator games, and a website. A new song was released every month in 2024, which was added to the complete version of the album, titled Walkerworld 2.0. It was released on January 10, 2025, and contains 23 tracks in total.

Background[]

On October 28, 2023, a trailer was posted revealing information about the project, alongside with the site walkerworld.ai. 11 Walkers who registered are eligible to win a "Golden Ticket", which can be used to access concert tickets, merchandise, and exclusive sneak peeks to new songs. A special and unique Walker Certificate Plaque will be also sent physically to Walkers who had signed up.

The first installment of the album was released in November 10, which will be expanded every month. More details about the project were revealed in a livestream, including an upcoming game in Fortnite, a new track "Fire" featuring JVKE and YUQI, and the winners of the golden ticket. Multiple guests joined, including Sophie Stray, Gunnar Greve, #4684 and #431 from Alan Walker Theories, and Vikkstar. Robin Packalen and Peder Elias also joined for their future appearances in the album. A list of the winners can be found in a community post, with Alan Walker Theories being honorary winners for their contribution to the Walker community.

The community platform was temporarily closed for maintenance, which was later reopened on December 12. Walkers are also invited to join a private Discord group where exclusive videos, master classes, and exciting news will be shared. Alan Walker also set up local numbers llater so people can add him on WhatsApp.

In 2021, Alan Walker and Gunnar Greve purchased a Villa for 35 million NOK, aiming to build a sanctuary for artists and creators. After three years of renovations, the Walker Villa finally opened on November 11, 2024, with various performances and the release of the song Avalon. The Golden Ticket winners were also invited.

On December 10, a new trailer was posted, teasing a complete version of the previous album titled "Walkerworld 2.0" with 7 new tracks. The album released on January 10, 2025, along with a live experience on TikTok. Another trailer was posted on the same day, revealing another set of new tracks and a possible final version of the album titled "Walkerworld: The Last Ride", to be released on 2025.

The creatorcircle.ai website was also launched where Walkers can join the Creator Circle, a place where creators can collaborate and access exclusive content. To join, one must post content with the song Old Habits.

Creator Games[]

On June 13, Walkerworld Creator Games was revealed with a trailer. Aiming to share creations with the world, Walkers can join by tagging #WCG24 on their content. It began on June 22nd with an opening ceremony, announcing multiple events including masterclasses, a sculpture park, team projects, and a new Alan x Walkers track, later released as By Your Side. Four creators can receive a creative fund of $10,000 with their creations coming to life in a unique way. On January 10, 2025, the winners were announced on a TikTok Livestream, including Walkers #48979, #39197 & #95499, #62982, and #20680.

Game[]

Walkerworld: The Game is a Fortnite map created with Unreal Editor. It is a playable theme park experience launched in December 15, 2023. Every month, the world will be expanded with new songs, gameplays, and other features. The first chapter is a PvP map, where the main goal is to capture objectives to get points and eliminate enemy players. It is accompanied by a 24-hour giveaway with a $5,000 prize, where the goal is to find song titles throughout the map. The island can be accessed here.

Tour[]

The Walkerworld Arena Tour started with China on November 28, 2024. On March, the first part of the Walkerworld Asia Tour was announced, revealing dates set for June. Vikkstar, Putri Ariani, Sofiloud, and Robin Packalen will also be joining as supporting acts. It was later announced that he will be touring on India from September to October.

Trivia[]

  • It is said that a new song will come out every month in 2024, however in February, only alternate versions of Who I Am was released. April also didn't have any new releases.
  • Walkerworld 2.0 is Alan Walker's longest album to date.
